The New Wang

Designer Joseph Altuzarra has been rumored to be the new Alexander Wang. Like Wang, Josheph Altuzarra is extremely young, only 25 years old, and brings the fresh style of the streets to an older public, and check out those BOOTS!

Vintage Vixens

I went for a vintage tuxedo style onesie with a pair of nude Christian Louboutins and a Givenchy necklace. My good friend, Betsy, wore a vintage full-feathered skirt styled with a corset and a lace top. She finished off the outfit with a pair of Chanel ankle booties. We both love mixing high and low to create a classic look.

Studtastic

These amazing sneakers are part of a men's shoe collection designed by Christian Louboutin. I think a women's version should be made pronto.

Grunge Before Fashiontoast

Don't get me wrong, I love Rumi's style on Fashiontoast, and the sloppy edge that has invaded Calfornia cool. However, we can only hope to imitate a trend that was meant to be original. The photographs are from Grunge written by Thurston Moore (of Sonic Youth) and photographed by Michael Lavine.

Should Fashion Photography Be Considered Art?

I believe it can. Art critics dismiss fashion photography for its commercial appeal and familiarity. Yet, photography as a medium has been exhausted. Fashion photography focuses on the fundamentals of light and framing. Plus, it's nice to look at. Some of my favorites are Irving Penn, Steven Meisel, Herb Ritts, Annie Leibovitz, and Ryan McGinley.
